Hello Classmates and welcome to Week 4. I started this week working on the Lab. I have done some searching and have seen many ways to create an image slideshow in CSS. Most examples use the @keyframe animation rule, but I have found a few that don't. I have decided which way I want to do this yet, but adding in text title complicates things a little.

  1. I Just started working on the lab last night and when looking how to create the slideshow I too noticed that a lot of them us @keyframe animation rule. It will be interesting to see how well add the text title goes. I finished collecting my pictures, I now need to create the slideshow itself.

  2. That seems to be coming along quite nicely Drew. As I stated in my journal, slideshows can be quite useful in websites. In fact, many websites today such as: crunchyroll.com and Atlus.com have slideshows on their home page of all the news events related to the website. This lab is fairly simple I am almost done with it myself. As always, W3 schools has some useful tips, https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_slideshow.asp
I wish everyone the best of luck withe the slideshow for this week.

  3. I t0o use W3 schools for most of my coding practice. I did not know until recently that you are able to try it your self. Where you can use a split screen compiler to test new code and try out new features. "https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_default" I wonder if any one has used this to create content for their own iLabs. I use "https://htmlcolorcodes.com/" for creating custom color cods for my site designs.

  4. Yes Drew, it is something that requires care and attention taking into account that we can adopt different approach to execute the slideshow. However the use of frames seemed to me the most appropriate to put it to work. take a look at this website:

  5. Hi Drew,
I like the way you work on your blog in the beginning of the week. Sorry I am going to take your idea and do the same thing for week 5. I always get to the point were I have to rush and finish it incomplete. Which is really hurting my points. I also checked w3school website and they got some good examples and explanations. Hope to you have rest of the weeks fun for you in the class.
